Sentimental Journey - men's card

On a wet and dreary day in Canberra, what else is there to do but create?  Ok, besides the housework, feeding kids lunch and thinking of what to make for dinner!  But I need some time out too and I get to create!!

So I made this card for a relative, male themed of course, making use of a few odds & bits of scraps.  I quite like this card actually, and can repeat this easily!

I used some twine for colour interest, a vintage brad in my compass, my Big Shot for embossing and sponging for clouds.  Hmm, I do like.  A good colour combination for men too!

Stamps: Sentimental Journey & Occasional Quotes
Papers: Soft Suede, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie & Basic Black (the base card was from my stash)
Inks: Early Espresso, Indigo Island & Soft Skye
Other: Big Shot & Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Modern Label & Circle Punch, twine & sponge daubers

It's funny, I bought this stamp set specifically in mind for scrapbooking but it seems to be great for making cards too!!!
