Christmas Cards to Enjoy

I think Christmas cards are running late this year! My mail box is slowly filling up with lots of cards and letters from family and friend. While I love every card I receive and proudly hang up around the house, I love to share the handmade cards. These cards are made by family and friends, some new to card-making, some quite accomplished. But everyone is special and unique.

Here are just a few:

1. From a fellow SU Demonstrator and friend using the SU Wish for Peace stamp set:

2. From my Aunty Ellie using the Eyelet Border punch from SU and a gorgeous snowman topper:

3. From my friend Kate, using Kazazz products:

And I'm sure you would agree, they are all lovely!

Help

..... I'm running out of time!!

I am so behind this year for Christmas, I don't know where to start!! I have a pile of Christmas cards still unwritten, all the presents sitting in the boot of my car, all unwrapped. Shopping and planning to be done. Yep, I'm behind and quickly running out of time!!

Even my blog and websites are hopelessly out of date. Help!! I need a few of Santa's helpers!!

So as promised, here are two more cards I made at the Stamp-a-Stack the other week. More simple Christmas cards but oh, so lovely.

Here's what we used:

Stamps: Snow Swirled & Occasional Greetings
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Red Riding Hood & Sage Shadow
Papers: Sage Shadow, Red Riding Hood & Whisper White CS
Other: Scallop Edge Punch

Christmas Fun!

!

We're quickly counting down to Christmas and the fun has only just started!! This week it's been all about my boys! We set up the Christmas Tree on Saturday night, Christmas Carols by Candlelight on Sunday night, Luke's school Christmas concert yesterday evening and today was Matthew's childcare Christmas party. Maybe there will be some Christmas events for me to attend soon, just for me!!

But I love Christmas, I love the festitivities, the traditions and yes even the craziness. Although I have to admit, I seem to be behind more this year, then I would usually be!!

But I am making some progress on my Christmas cards. These cards are just two samples of eight cards I made at a Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. This event was held Chris Parker-Barnes, another SU demonstrator in the Avid Inkers Stampin' Up! team that I am part of. So all credit to her for the lovely designs, although the artwork is mine!!

Aargh! The colours look terrible in these photos, but they'll have to do till I take some more tomorrow with natural light!

So what do you think of the scallop punching of the squares. Don't they look fantastic! They are not as hard as they look. Let me know if you need instructions on how to do them, I'll try to explain logically!!

Here's what I used:

Stamps: Christmas Classics
Inks: Kiwi Kiss & Real Red
Papers: Kiwi Kiss, Real Red & Whisper White CS
Other: Scallop edge punch, scallop oval punch, oval punch & gold brad

I hope you enjoy and feel inspired to make a stack of cards, with simple designs you can make quickly. Simplicity is the wonderful key!

Summer Mini Catalogue?

Have you got yours yet? If you're on my mailing list, you should have received it by now!

I love this new look catalogue, its my fat-free gelati!! No calories in this one!

I made these cute little business card holders using one of the new sets from the Summer Mini. It's called Hello Again and it's really cute. I've also used the new Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper which is so bright and cheerful!! I 'coloured' in the centres of each flower with Dazzling Diamonds but the photo doesn't really show it!

These were super easy to make and I popped one in each envelope with the Summer Mini Catalogue. Here's what it looks when opened:

And here's what I used:

Stamps: Hello Again
Inks: Pixie Pink, Only Orange, Green Galore and Taken with Teal
Papers: Whisper White & Pixie Pink CS, and Kaleidoscope DSP
Other: Dazzling Diamonds, Stampin' Dimensionals and Circle & Slit punch

The Summer Mini is Here

Say goodbye to the Spring mini (sob - I did like it very much) but hooray the new Summer Mini is here. I call it the gelati issue. It's full of fun and bright colours. Much like a gelati (it's bringing back memories of Rome now.....)
