Where is my ......???

Help me, I can't find a thing! Aaahhh! Where is everything? Seriously, the photographer is on his way to take photos of our house. Everything has been put into boxes or hidden in cupboards! I don't know where anything is! As soon as he's finished, I'll start pulling things out of hiding again. Oh, maybe after I get back from work!!

Luckily, here's a card to show today that I made earlier!! June is so busy with us. Lots of birthdays and special occasions! Today's my brother's birthday, but I'll show his card tomorrow!

Stamps: Trendy Trees

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Not Quite Navy & Baja Breeze, a scrap of DSP

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Yoyo Yellow, Pumpkin Pie, Baja Breeze & Versamark

Other: Crochet Thread and Scallop Square & Square Punch

I think the colours are quite appropriate for a male now that I think of it, but you never know! They are so fussy these days. This card was actually made for my Digital Photography Teacher - she loves nature and vivid colours. I think I've combined the two really well! Anyway, must finish vacuuming. See you tomorrow!

Soccer Circle or Circle Soccer!

Happy Birthday to me! Yes, it was my birthday yesterday and I was spoiled by my 3 boys, had a champagne shoe party and Thai for dinner. How good can it get! And if you're wondering, one of my presents from my ever-so-thoughtful husband was the Big Shot! I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I can't wait! We're getting ready for the photographer to come on Tuesday and photograph our house for selling, so everything is packed away :( What it does mean though .... my new craft room is on the way!

I did take some time over the weekend to catch up on some cards for the last few days of June (can you believe we're saying that!!). Here they are:

Stamps: Circle Circus & Upsy Daisy (for sentiment)

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Kraft & Basic Black

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze & Kraft

Other: Stapler & Staples

As you can see, this card was for a male friend of ours, who just happens to be soccer mad. Circle Circus steps right in for soccer & males. You might have noticed that I actually used the colour ink of black. I hardly ever do that. I much prefer to use chocolate/brown as my main dark colour not black!!

Anyway, I hope you like it and think it's appropriate for males!!

Snow Swirled Stamp Camp

Another week has almost gone by, and typically it's the one before my birthday which I always want to slow down :( My boys have both been very sick this week with little Matthew being unusually clinging and demanding. Unfortunately this meant little down time for both Craig and I, as well as little sleep! I am so pleased to report that Matthew was like a changed person when he woke up from his daytime nap. He was laughing, smiling and even ate something. It's such a relief. He's back. Luke is also on the mend and quite enjoyed his two days home from school!

Instead of talking about my lack of creativity, I just want to announce (or more appropriately remind) you of the Snow Swirled Stamp Camp. Planning is under way and it's sure to be exciting!! The details for this one are:

My Scrap Pages are Here!

It's finally here! I'm uploading my pictures of my scrap pages to my BLOG (I bet you thought that wasn't going to happen!). My web-administrator have overhauled the system, so hopefully this will work! Here goes ...

These pages were inspired by the current issues of the Get Creative Magazine. I can't give you much details about the papers I used (as they are from my personal stash that I have had a LONG Time). However the background CS is blue with textured pink in the middle. The letters Garden Fun are cut out with a Side Kick borrowed on the Scrap night. I have used two printed papers (one with spots and the other one with flowers and butterflies). I have used Kindy Glitz to highlight the flowers and butterflies. Believe it or not, but the only products used from Stampin' Up! is the tab punch and the adhesives!!

I am also updating my website with fliers for all upcoming events or you can just click on them here!!

More Pocket Silhouettes!

A wet wintery day today, perfect for staying indoors and making things. I say that tongue in cheek, because my lovely husband spent the day scrubbing walls and packing boxes, while I pottered around with chores in-between making things! How lucky am I!

Today I attended a craft class (instead of running one for a nice change), finished my scrap pages from Friday night, and made a thank you card! I know I promised to show my scrap pages today, but I haven't had a chance to pop up the shop to get my photos printed, so I'll have to show them tomorrow and instead show this little card I made. It is actually from a Card Challenge where the layout is shown as a template and you are challenged to make a card. The card template was actually in portrait layout but I needed a landscape layout, so I turned it on it's side and here's what I came up with!

Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Not Quite Navy & Baja Breeze

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze & Old Olive

Other: Tab Punch & Oval Punches, vintage brads & Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon

You might have noticed that I've been using the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set a lot lately, and yes you would be right! I am loving them!!

CASE-ing the Catalgoue!

Copy and Share Everything!

A night of scrapbooking and I have a scrap-over (not a hangover, a scrap-over!!). Today I had to crawl out of bed and go to work, just wishing I could sleep a little bit more!! It was a late night last night, but what a great night!! Luckily I don't have to work tomorrow and I can sleep in! My pages are still in progress and I hope to have them finished to show you tomorrow!

To case or not to case - that is the question!

I did finish another little project - a cute card using the Pocket Silhouette stamps. Have you ever had craft-block, where you just can't think what to do? Even if you have all the colours, stamps and papers imaginable - we all seem to have moments of craft-block! But with the trusty Stampin' Up! Idea & Catalogue - inspiration is never far away. For me especially! I'll show you what I mean!

Here's a picture from the new gorgeous SU Idea Book & Catalogue. This page was to show the accents and embellishments featured in the Stampin' Up! product range. Hopefully you'll notice the card I was inspired by!!

If you have the Idea Book & Catalogue pick it up and turn to page 125. Of course, if you don't have one, contact me and I will arrange with you to your very own as quick as we can!! I looked up the supplies list to see what was used, worked out what I did and didn't have and sat down to do it. No procrastinating over what to do for a change. I was able to sit down and enjoy creating!

Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip & Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, Bella Rose DSP

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Chocolate Chip & Old Olive

Other: Scalloped Edge & Oval Punch, vintage brads & Felt Fusion Flowers.

You will see that my sentiment "thanks so much" has been lightly stamped on the right hand corner of the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper (DSP). I only wanted a "lightly" coloured sentiment as I wanted the card to be about the papers and the focal image. To ensure that my sentiment was 'just right', I coloured the rubber directly with my Chocolate Chip Stampin' Writer and then lightly stamped onto a piece of scrap (just to make sure the stamp wasn't heavily loaded with ink) and then stamped directly on the card. While this is a thank you card, what I will write inside the card will be why I've sent it in the first place (if you know what I mean!!).

Tomorrow I'll post details and email upcoming events too! So good night - I'm having an early one!!

Finishing my pocket gift card!

I'm supposed to be at work (starting at 2pm and it's well & truly after!) but big boy Luke has a cold, so I'm waiting for my WH to get home from work, so I can go to work!! BBL has been able to amuse himself with his toys and movies, giving me lots of time to play at my table (after housework of course!). I'm in designer mode!

I am designing the scrap layouts for the Snow Swirled class, and I think you're going to love it. I am following a tried and true format by other designers. Start with a 6" x 6" layout, step it up to a 8" x 11" layout, and then finally to the full sized 12" x 12" page. I'm taking lots of notes and pictures as I go, so I will be able to write nice & easy (but comprehensive) instructions for Stamp Camp! I might give you a sneak peek in the next few days!

I also finished the inside of a little thank you note. I needed a gold coin for something (I can't remember now what it was for) and of course, couldn't find one in the bottomless pit that my handbag is! So a good friend stepped in for me. I am now giving the gold coin back with a little extra! A little note, a pocket for the gold coin and some choccies!! How cool is that! Here's the pic's:

The 'inside':

And to refresh your memory, the 'outside':

Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes & Occasional Greetings

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Riding Hood Red & Pink Pirouette

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Basic Grey & Riding Hood Red

Other: Scalloped Edge & Oval Punch, Kindy Glitz (red), Five Petal Flower & Boho Blossoms Punch, vintage brads & Felt Fusion Flowers.

Now I'm going back to my table to catch up on some cards!! Boy, I love what I do!

Events are coming to Canberra!!

I've been busy! I mean the busy that doesn't include work, home, kids, building house etc but busy preparing for our special Christmas in July in August event! So I have lots of announcements to make!!

Firstly, I have changed the date of our June Stamp Club to the following week on Sunday 5th July. This is a gorgeous project using the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set. Here's a reminder of what we'll be making!

For more information on this one, go to my Fifth Avenue Floral Workshop page. If you can't attend, I can organise this as a Kit-to-Go. Just contact me and I will arrange it for you!

And I know with winter here, we're all thinking about Christmas in July, so here's the details for that one!! This event will cater for the scrappers and card-makers alike with projects to suit both. If you purchase the Snow Swirled stamp set you will receive as a bonus the instructions for both, so you won't miss out! How cool is that! Following is a photo of the card-makers project (I'll post the scrap option soon!):

Anyway, I had better go off to my other job (the paid one, have no option one!) - see you tomorrow :)

MIA - but I'm Back!

Yep, I've been MIA - missing in action! We've had a wonderfully busy weekend. On Saturday, my sister Laura and two of her three boys (Brendan & baby Michael) came to visit especially for Luke's birthday party on Saturday. Luke had a bowling party with 9 of his friends and had an absolute ball. I have to admit, I also enjoy parties where a party host looks after the kids. Although I did spend a lot of time chasing little Matthew - he just wanted to run after the ball down the bowling alleys!

The rest of the weekend was just spending lovely time with my sister.

I can show you one of my unfinished projects though! The felt purse I started on Friday night at our monthly craft night needs a zip to finish. I have had to order them over the internet so hopefully they'll arrive soon! This project to show today, is a little thank you gift card I made for a friend. The front/outside is finished, just the inside to be done :)

Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes & Occasional Greetings

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Riding Hood Red & Pink Pirouette

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Basic Grey & Riding Hood Red

Other: Oval Punch, Kindy Glitz (red), Five Petal Flower & Boho Blossoms Punch, vintage brads & Felt Fusion Flowers

I will upload the template for the card in the next day or so too. You probably can't tell too much in the picture, but I have rolled the edges of the brown punched flower and distressed the edges of the little red flower. Just to add a bit of interest.

Another Pocket Silhouette!

I had a busy day today! Matthew and I dragged ourselves into the cold and off to Questacon to join our big boy Luke on his school excursion. It was great watching the 5-6 year olds exploring in Questacon and having a ball. I think they will all sleep well tonight (me included) after all the walking they did!

I then popped into my local patchwork store to buy some zips for tonight's craft project only to find out they didn't have any at all. I had already been to the bigger stores without any success (apparently finding 10cm zips is not as easy as you think!). Anyway, I decided to visit my local craft store instead only to have much friendlier service and even a tip on how to make your own 10cm zips. I should have started there in the first place :)

If you're wondering what I'll be making tonight - it's these really cute little purses made out of felt, ribbons and button. Mine will be minus the zip tonight but I'll be fixing that tomorrow. I found this project on a blog - http://paper-and-string.blogspot.com/2009/03/500-posts-craft-day.html if you want to see for yourself and can't wait to see mine!

I even made a birthday card for my mother-in-law. I used the Pocket Silhouette stamps as well as the same colour palette that I've been using lately - greens, browns & blues. Doesn't sound very exciting but looks so much better when you look at how!

Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes & Occasional Greetings

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Not Quite Navy, Kraft & Urban Garden DSP

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Basic Grey, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze & Not Quite Navy

Other: Kraft Taffeta Ribbon & Oval Punches

Just a short one today. I've got to go and pack my supplies for tonight!

Bloomin' with Cold, oops Beauty!!

A couple of cards to show today! Sitting at your craft table on a cold wintery day is a warming thought. The sky was blue and beautiful but the temperature was very very chilly! It was so cold this morning that I saw frozen puddles everywhere on the way to work. I know Canberra gets especially cold in winter, but it was a bit of a shock to have it happen so quickly. It's only just winter!!

Sorry, I am getting sidetracked!

A favourite stamp set that was in the last Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue last year was the 'Bloomin' with Beauty' set. This set is so classicly beautiful and so easy to use! I loved it last year and I loved it now. The only difference being I bought it last year and not this year. No difference!!

This first card for show & tell uses colouring and Crystal Effects to make it special. Here's what I mean:

I have stamped the image twice so that I could cut one layer out and adhere it over the first stamped image, using Stampin' Dimensionals to lift the image up! I have coloured in the rose itself with Rose Red & Certainly Celery ink with the assistance of the Blender Pens.

You won't be able to see it properly in the photos, but I have then coated the flower head with lots of Crystal Effects. You should see how great it works! Just remember to give it lots of drying time!

Of course, the card would work without the crystal effects if you were in a hurry, but if you've got the time, use it!!

Stamps: Bloom with Beauty

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Rose Red & Close to Cocoa. Red background printed paper - from my own supplies. (Sorry I am not sure from where!)

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery & Rose Red.
Other: Oval punches, Crystal Effects, ribbon & Stampin' Dimensionals

This second card, took a little bit more time as I made a window with this one. I framed the window with a paper-pierced border and adhered acetate (on the other side). The colouring of the flower is exactly the same however does not use Crystal Effects. A little bit of ribbon and bling, the card is done!

Stamps: Bloom with Beauty

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Close to Cocoa & Tempting Turquoise

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Chocolate Chip, Rose Red & Certainly Celery
Other: Oval Punches, Ribbon & bling buckle (non-SU)

Use the Stampin' Up! mat pack with this project as it's a great guide for paper-piercing the holes.

In my personal opinion, these two cards show just how easily you can take one stamped image with an exact copy and make two completely different cards. Almost clever isn't it!

Anyway, that's it for tonight. The heating must have switched over to overnight mode as I'm getting cold and my fingers are starting to type very badly (they're now ice blocks). A definite sign to call it a night and to go to bed. See you tomorrow. It's craft night!

Happy Birthday my little big boy Luke!

It's a birthday day today. My little big boy Luke turned 6 today! He's growing up so fast now - I guess my baby boy is growing up now!

We had a lovely day. We had presents and breakfast this morning before heading out to school. And boy, was that cold. The local mountain ranges were covered in snow and while it was quite pretty to see you could feel the icy cold in the air! I sent Luke with a container full of cupcakes to celebrate his birthday with at school!

I then came home and made more cupcakes for his little 'party' after school. Just family, we celebrated with cake, lollies and chips and sung Happy Birthday! Luke had a great day and now he's got his party on the weekend to look forward to!!

Can you believe this? I struggled to make his birthday card! After going through all my stamp sets and believe me, there are quite a few of them! I couldn't really find anything age appropriate for him that weren't too babyish or cutesy! I found a retired Stampin' Up! set 'In the Stars' which was the best I could do! I think I better pick up the Idea Book & Catalogue and go shopping again!!

Here it is:

Stamps: In the Stars (retired) & Occasional Greetings

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Not Quite Navy & Kraft cardstock

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Basic Grey, Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss & Yoyo Yellow

Other: Star Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals & slightest hint of glitter (I used Kindy Glitz), Chipboard number 6

I've used this colour combination in a few things now and it's so perfect for boys/male themed cards. Even the use of the Kraft cardstock (such a neutral colour) adds to the feel of masculinity!!

Anyway, I hope Luke likes it. He's been to absorbed/mesmerised/obsessed with his new toys to notice the cards. Oh well, maybe he'll have a look tomorrow!

Pocket Silhouettes

Well that's another long weekend come and gone. They seem to take so long to arrive but go so quick!!

Today's card was one of my 'cards I prepared earlier' (over the weekend) as I was kept busy today catching up on washing, housework, buying birthday presents and making cupcakes! Yep, Luke's birthday is almost here!

This card uses one of the new stamp sets and I love it. Even though I hadn't used it before, I have been admiring it for some time and have seen a lot of cards and things made with it while blog surfing! My card uses the colour combo from one of last year's card sets from Stampin' Up! - old olive, pumpkin pie & real red! Doesn't sound nice, until you have a closer look!

Stamps: Pocket Silhouette & Occasional Greetings

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie & Old Olive

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Basic Grey & VersaMark™

Other: Small Oval Punch & Red Ribbon (retired)

I'm not sure if you can see it in this photo, but I have used one of the stamps with VersaMark ink along the bottom of the card. Just to give it a bit of interest. I have also made a word window with the small oval punch and stamped my sentiment on the inside. You might also notice the butterfly which I have stamped in Chocolate Chip and highlighted with Dazzling Diamonds. This stamp comes from the retired 'Live your Dream' set which is a perfect set for scrapbooking as well as little highlights like the butterfly. It's a shame it never made it past the Mini Catalogue last year. I love it!

Anyway, bedtime calls. Have a lovely night! :0)

More Upsy Daisy

Happy Birthday Bella! My gorgeous niece turned 5 today! I'm sorry I won't be there to celebrate with her but I have sent lots of goodies for her to enjoy for her birthday and birthday party. I can't wait to see the photos of her!

Today, my BBL and I caught up on some card making. I'm trying to get all my birthday cards done for the month of June, so that I can get stuck into my scrap-booking. Although I have to admit, I'm pretty pleased I've already finished 6 pages this year!

Anyway, getting back to today's card! I had lots of bits & pieces of papers and cardstocks left over from last Sunday, so this card was inspired by our Upsy Daisy Stamp Club last weekend. The Upsy Daisy set coordinates so well with the Urban Garden Designer Series Papers (DSP), that I had to give them a go. This card is for my friend Robyn who also has her birthday in the next few days. This card to me is elegant and fashionable, and classy all at the same time. Just like my friend :) Here it is:

Stamps: Upsy Daisy

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Not Quite Navy cardstock & Urban Garden DSP

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Basic Grey & Not Quite Navy

Other: Crimper & Kindy Glitz

Unfortunately the poor lighting of this photo has shown the Kindy Glitz I used above the Not Quite Navy crimped cardstock to be green. In fact this is not even so!! The card looks better in 'person' and I'm sure my friend will be pleased with that. I can't wait to the class on still-life photography. I think I need it!!

A Teacher's Pet

Aahhh! The Queen's Birthday Long Weekend! Don't you love it! It may be the start of winter with cool nights but we still get to enjoy the lovely days and the fireworks!!

Our Saturday started fairly normally! The kids gave us a mini-sleep in (till 8am) which sounds great but not when you've been kept awake at 1.30am with crying babies :) Saturday morning rush central started with us all getting out the door to get Big Boy Luke (BBL) off to soccer. Baby Matthew (BM) and I normally stay home (it's a bit of a father & son thing) but I had to get BBL to a party that started the same time as the soccer. So we compromised on this one and played the first half of the soccer match and then we were off in a mad dash to the party. A bit late but we got there. BM had a ball too. An unofficial guest of the party as we were hanging around waiting!

We picked up BBL's new glasses which look fantastic on him and will hopefully help him get over the headaches he's been having. BM fell asleep in the pram so it was back home to get him to bed and for me to tidy up before my WH's dad & his family came over.

Anyway, after dinner and a play with the fireworks, it was time to clear up and tidy the craft table - and play some more. All the little boys are in bed and the big boy is watching TV. With all the birthdays this month, I'm planning to stay on track and ahead of mailing schedule. Although no promises!

Today's card is a quickie I had to make for the birthday boy (Dylan) and his party today. Dylan and BBL will both turn 6 this week on the same day, so his mum and I coordinated parties. Dylan's this weekend and BBL's party next weekend! I realised at the very last minute, that I don't seem to have many stamp sets or papers that are aimed for the 6-10 yrs age group. The ones I have seem to be too babyish, too cutesy for boys or just too old. I'm going to dig out the Idea Book & Catalogue this weekend and see what I can do about that! Luckily I had my sister's brand new Teachers Pet stamp set sitting on my table that I was going to assemble for her before putting in the post! It gave me enough of an idea to make a card and incorporating the colours from my masculine card yesterday. It's a 4" x 4" card too. Nice & quick!

Stamps: Teachers Pet & Occasional Greetings

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss & Chocolate Chip cardstock & Urban Garden DSP

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Basic Grey & Green Galore

I like the card and was happy with my five minute wonder. I guess for a 6 year old boy, they are more interested in the present. I am pretty sure his mum will notice!

Anyway, I'm heading back to the craft table. See you soon!

Finally a Masculine Card

Have I mentioned that June is birthday month in my family. Not quite one every day, but close enough to it. The next week is particularly notorious. My niece, my dad, my friend and my son! I am keeping Australia Post busy! And then there's the following weeks!!

So what to do for a card suitable for my dad? No glitter, no flowers and no ribbon! Something entirely masculine for a change, and this is what I came up with!

Stamps: Greetings Eight & Upsy Daisy

Papers: Stampin' Up! Kraft & Not Quite Navy cardstock, & Urban Garden DSP

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Basic Grey

Punches: Scallop Square

Other: Dimensionals, Crimper, Hemp Twine & black brads.

I'm putting together a workshop on masculine cards, so let me know if you're interested!

A Mermaid for Bella

Another rainy old day in Canberra. Another good day for staying indoors, not so much because it's warmer but because it's drier!! Today, I had to absolutely finish the card for Bella and here it is! The colours are a tiny bit washed out (taking photos indoor with a flash on a gloomy day!). Thank goodness I'm doing a digital photography course at the moment, maybe I will learn to fix that!! Anyway, I digress ...

I think she's pretty cute and I wish I could take credit for her, but I found her while blog surfing somewhere and scribbled the picture down. It took me a bit of figuring which punches to use but I got there in the end. I also used lots of glitter (dazzling diamonds) as well as chalks for the background which just adds to the card. Cute!

Stamps: Pretty Princess (retired) Sprinkles & Something Fishy Wheel

Papers: Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery & So Saffron cardstock

Inks: Stampin' Up! Classic Basic Grey & VersaMark™

Punches: Scallop Circle, Large Oval, 1" Circle & 5-Petal flower

Other: Chalks, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Flower Fusion & white Brad.

So all I have to do now is pack her and the presents in a very safe box and send to my niece! Happy Birthday Bella.

I've also got some ideas with all the punch art that I've been doing lately. Be sure to stay tuned!

Ladybird, Ladybird, fly away home ...

Hooray it was a rainy day here in Canberra. I wish I could say I got a lot of done, but sadly no. It was a day spent cleaning the house in time for the home loan broker and real estate agent to come around. We're at the business end of building now with completion only days away and decisions to be made about what we're going to be doing about our home. Our first family home has wonderful memories which always makes decisions to sell that tiny bit harder. A decision for another day, not today.

Here's a card I've been toying with as a possible birthday card for my niece Bella who turns 5 next week. Actually, I think it's on the weekend, so I had better hurry and get the card in the mail. I'm a big fan of punch art, collage and paper piercing, so this is a nice and easy go, for all of the above!

Lady bird, Lady bird, fly away home ....

Papers: Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper Bella Rose, Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Black & Certainly Celery Cardstock

Tools & Embellishments: Circle Punch, Oval Punch, brads, Certainly Celery Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch and the Felt Fusion flowers. All from Stampin' Up!

I found a gorgeous card featuring a mermaid made with punches. I might try that tomorrow before I make my final decision. I reserve my judgement!

Snowed Swirled for Christmas in July

Well the details for Christmas in July in August are almost here. I am pleased to say that we will be making projects with the new 'Snow Swirled' Christmas stamp set from Stampin' Up! I have loved this set from the moment I saw it and I just know I am going to have great fun with it making Christmas cards later this year! Can you believe it is now winter and we are talking about Christmas!

Anyway, the basic details for this special event are for the morning of August 1 at Eastlakes Club in Kingston again. Projects and prices are to be finalised but book this one in your diary now. If you haven't got your copy of the new Idea Book & Catalogue (and be sure to contact me if you want one!), this is the gorgeous snow swirled set:

Imagine the projects you can make with this!

Upsy Daisy!

It's Monday and the weekend flew by yet again. I had a lovely weekend though! I made the Upsy Daisy set yesterday afternoon with Michelle, and made little projects with my Trendy Trees stamp set for my SU Demonstrator's meeting tonight (I'll show you that one tomorrow). I'm rushing, so let me fill you in!

Yesterday was the inaugural launch of the Stamp with Me stamp club with the first month project focusing on the Upsy Daisy stamp set from Stampin' Up! Our projects also used the Urban Garden Designer Series Papers from Stampin' Up! which did give the WOW factor to the cards and matching box. I love the papers, and I never know which side to use (they're double sided)! Luckily I was able to stock up on the papers during May! This is the official photo of what we made. My version is fairly close, just a little crooked in some of my greetings! But what do they say, practice makes perfect!

I've already put two of the cards in the mail (the thankyou card and the grey birthday card). I always put my cards to good use!!

For tonight's project, I wanted to make a thankyou card and gift for a friend, who really went out of her way to help me (I won't bore you with details), but I'll show you the finished results tomorrow. I just need to make 3" envelopes to match and then it is finished. So stay tuned. It will be a busy night tonight as we'll be in planning mode for the Christmas in July in August event. So see you tomorrow!
