Christmas is almost over :(

How was your Christmas?

Ours was just lovely and I wouldn't have changed anything!

We shared Christmas Eve with close family and friends. Big Boy Luke (BBL) was so excited - he just couldn't get to sleep and had to keep listening for Santa's sleigh bells or the reindeer feet on the roof. Christmas is so magical for five year olds!

How lucky were we? We had a lazy lie-in on Christmas morning! BBL slept till 8.30am and Baby Matthew eventually woke up at 9am! My Wonderful Husband (WH) was pacing the hallways waiting for the kids to wake up! Not that we're complaining of course!

We had a lovely Christmas Lunch in Wamboin with family. BBL had a wonderful time! Horse-rides, swimming and kite flying (very difficult when there is only a gentle breeze, if that!).

Boxing Day was also spent with close friends and left-overs. The perfect way to finish the Christmas meal!

As for me, I'm happy to be relaxing. My craft table is still packed away (it had to make room for Christmas meals) and it's just itching to resurface again! The only problem is, I have to pack up all the Christmas stuff first. And that is not a quick job!! I did finish my Christmas Angel though (you only need to make room for a needle and thread!). She's very cute. I might have to make some more next year! What do you think?

Anyway, I hope your Christmas was as magical as ours! BBL has already asked how many weeks till Christmas again. Easy answer this time. 52 weeks!!

Not that we're counting of course!

Christmas Week

Can you believe it's almost Christmas??? We are having our Christmas dinner tonight, complete with prawns, turkey and the plum pudding! Why so early you ask? We've been blessed by a visit by my mum (aka Oma) and she heads back to Melbourne to celebrate with the rest of my family on Tuesday. It's a great way to herald in the Christmas week!

Did you get all your Christmas cards finished? In total, I have sent 37 handmade Christmas cards to friends and family (yes - odd number 37 with no explanation why!) and have found myself short a few cards. It was the million dollar question - do I resort to bought commercialised Christmas cards or do I make a few snappy cards. Luckily for me, I had designed a card earlier that is just perfect for making in a hurry. It uses the SU Season of Joy set which is my all-time favourite Christmas set now and I really hope Stampin' Up! include it in next year's Idea Book and Catalogue. It's so versatile - even for non-Christmas cards!

Hopefully, I haven't forgotten anyone when sending my cards as I have had to clear my craft table (also known as the formal dinner table) to make way for dinner tonight and Christmas Eve! I'll just have to hang ten for any card making!

Stamp Camp!

Hi Everybody! I've been working hard trying to get the details finalised for Stamp Camp next month featuring the Bali Breeze Designer Series Paper and the Eastern Blooms and Embrace Life stamp sets that feature in the new Summer mini catalogue. I have updated my News & Events page with all details, including the flyer and registration forms.

I'm looking forward to doing this one myself. Once the Christmas rush is over - I can sit and make my demonstration box with12 coordinating cards. Perfect!

Of course, it's really hard to pick a date that suits everyone in January - so if we just can't get organised for Sunday 11 January we will reschedule. January is a difficult month isn't it? If it isn't Christmas, there is the Australia Day long weekend to think about as well as the busy week leading up to the start of the school year. Anyway ... we'll just wait and see what you all want :)

Of course, for my interstate friends - there will be a Kit-to-Go for this Bali Breeze. I'll post the details really soon. It's 10.20pm and I still have dishes and things to do! But stay tuned... and that's my promise!

So how's your Christmas preparations going anyway? I just wrote 26 cards for Big Boy Luke's preschool teachers and class mates. BBL signed each card though - it's amazing how well he has learnt to write his name over the year. I am so proud :)

My Felt Decorations

We had a great time on Friday night. With all the wonderful rain - it was a stay in night anyway!
Weeks ago - I had found a pattern to make felt decorations and put it somewhere safe.... I went and bought felt and ribbons (as you do). But come Friday night - do you think I could find where I had put my patterns??? Of course not!

I grabbed some Christmas magazines for inspiration and my cookie cutters to shape template and improvised!

My snowman (named Frosty of course) was instantly snatched by Big Boy Luke (BBL) to take to bed with him for the night and I only got him back to take this photo! BBL wanted Frosty - just the way he is and not even with the hat I made. Guess, I could make another one for Baby Matthew! I made a blue snowflake (yes the shape is a bit flowery) and a really cute Christmas Tree. Super easy and I even learned how to do the blanket stitch finally!! Who says you're too old to learn!

That's it - for craft nights - for 2008. Hard to believe isn't it!?! But we've got 20098 to look forward which is just as great! I hope you had a lovely weekend. We sure did :)

Stampin' Up! Colour Survey

Have you got your Summer Mini Catalogue and Newsletter I popped in the mail this week?? Lots of new projects for us to play with AFTER the Christmas season! I now have to do something about all the Christmas cards I made this year and actually start writing them to my friends. I think I've found my weekend activity!

It's been a busy week again. Baby Matthew has had yet another ear infection. We took him to the Doctor on Wednesday and got the all clear. On Thursday he's running a temperature again ........... the saga never ends! Big Boy Luke is winding up his preschool year. Can't believe that's nearly finished. He had a ball this year and is looking forward (with lots of practice) to his preschool concert next week. We can't wait!

Tonight is craft night - so I'm looking forward to that! It's the last one for the year. I hope our tree will be decorated in time!

Two friendly !! reminders:

The Stampin' Up! Markers promotion of buying them at $4.95 each ends on Sunday 14th December. Don't miss out on that great offer. I don't think we'll see this one again in the near future!
Go to http://www.stampwithme.com.au/ for more info or just click here!

Stampin' Up! also have a survey they are running until midnight on 22nd December about your favourite colours and colour families from their range. It takes less than a minute. Just click here to start the survey!

I'll get back to you tomorrow and maybe show off tonight's efforts! Have a lovely day :)

Bali Breeze Stamp Camp

Are you curious about the Bali Breeze stamp camp yet?

Pick up your new Summer Mini Catalogue from Stampin' Up! and turn to pages 8 and 9. Have a look at the Eastern Blooms stamp set - isn't it gorgeous and then cross over onto page 9 and have a look at the Bali Breeze Designer Serious Paper.
The colours are so vivid and just wonderful. Can you even bear to put a pair of scissors near them??
I've been wondering what colours to use in our new house (the one that is in the middle of being built) and I think this colour selection might be just the answer.

I always knew craft would be the next answer to interior design!

This is what our new house looks like right now!
Picture this with the colour accents I plan on using from the Bali Breeze Designer Series Paper. Cool huh???

I'm still here...

I must apologise for my lack of blogging entries, pictures and everything else. We are having SO MUCH troubles with our internet connection - it's driving us crazy! In fact, it drove my WH (wonderful husband) to writing a complaint to our ISP in very clear terms and to the point. Basically our internet connection keeps dropping out, regardless of what the technical support team is telling us and we're so frustrated!

So please bear with us ............... we're trying to get through this frustratingly slow annoying process!!

But I am pleased to annouce that I will be holding a Stamp Camp on Sunday 11 January featuring the new Eastern Blooms stamp set and the Bali Breeze designer series paper from Stampin' Up! These wonderfully summery tropical products are from the 2008-2009 Summer Mini Catalogue. We will be making a card box with 12 coordinating cards.
Contact me for more information. I will post the details very soon!

Don't you love the tropical colours?
Back to the drawing board. Literally. The internet barely works anyway!
